Tamkang University's Student Affairs Office warmly invites you to join the 2026 Gongliao International Service Learning Program (Gongliao ISL 2026) — a two-day immersive experience combining regional revitalization, ecological sustainability, and cross-cultural exchange.

Activity Information
📅 Dates: July 24 (Fri) – 25 (Sat), 2026
📍 Location: Gongliao District, New Taipei City (Aodi Fishing Harbor, Jimuling Terraced Fields, Danlan Trail)
👥 Capacity: 22 international students
🚌 Transportation: Coach bus provided (Day 1: departure from TKU Swimming Pool at 8:00 AM; Day 2: estimated return to TKU at 6:00 PM)
💰 Fees: Accommodation and meals covered by the organizer; participants are required to pay a refundable deposit of NT$1,000

Program Overview

Day 1 — Aodi
- Stone flower jelly (石花凍) DIY and local seafood cooking experience
- Seaweed washing with a local sea woman (海女)
- Intertidal zone ecology guided tour
- Aodi Fishing Harbor cultural tour
- Evening reflection session on humanities, ecology, and rural revitalization

Day 2 — Jimuling
- Terraced rice field landscape introduction and farming experience
- Guided walk along the historic Danlan Trail
- Mountain village bento and traditional snack DIY
- Five-senses experience and reflection sharing

Service Learning Mission

Within one week after the activity, each participant must publish at least 2 public posts on their personal social media accounts. Posts should include a trip recap, personal reflections, and thoughts on rural revitalization and sustainability. The NT$1,000 deposit will be fully refunded upon submission. No refund will be issued for late or missing posts.

Deadline: July 15, 2026 (may close early depending on enrollment)

After completing your registration, please visit Room B403, College of Business to pay the NT$1,000 deposit in person.

Once registration closes, an online orientation session will be held between July 15–22, covering the itinerary, local context, and service learning mission. The session will be fully recorded for those unable to attend live.
