演講題目:Doing Research Works for Sustainable Society
演講摘要：
The sustainable society ensures the health and vitality of resident life and culture and of nature’s capital, for the present and future generations. However, the question is raised, how sustainable is sustainable enough. This talk surveys the sustainability concept with the proposal of acceptable sustainability. Examples were given to demonstrate how technology developments can reduce the gap between ideal scenarios and real world, though it is hard to catch over. Some comments with current trends in R&D policy will be given.
