題 目：Self-similar solutions in celestial mechanics
摘要Abstract:
Self-similar solutions for the n-body problem, whos configurations are known as central configurations, are of special importance in celestial mechanics. Many questions regarding their shapes, finiteness, and stability are long standing open questions. In this talk we will briefly introduce its history, discuss some open problems and their difficulties, and describe some recent progresses. In particular, we will outline recent developments on the finiteness conjecture via computer algebra.
